Instructions for updating your calendar items for the new
Daylight Savings Time changes
Browse to
http://www.etgroup.net/downloads/dstupdate.exe.
Save the file to your desktop.
When the file has finished downloading, click the open/run button,
or launch the file from your desktop.
Click the check box to accept the license terms and click continue.
When the utility installs, a window titled Change Calendar Time Zone
will appear (see figure 1).
If Outlook is not open, it will either assume that the profile to
use is your default profile or it will prompt you for the profile to
update and then it will prompt you for your email address and
password.
In the data file drop down menu, select Mailbox - Your Name.
The utility will attempt to detect your mailbox time zone. If this
is incorrect, select the correct Original Time zone from the list.
Once you have selected your original time zone, select the option
for Update to reflect changes to Windows time Zones unless you know
that you have recently moved to another area. In this case, select
move appointments created in the Original Time Zone to my new time
zone and select the new time zone.
Finally, select whether to update your scheduled meetings and send
updates to any invited users.

Once you are finished making your selections, click ok.
The utility will then scan your calendar for any entries during the
affected periods and prompt you to either click details to see the
affected items. If the update is acceptable, click ok to update
them.
If you do not want to update the items either uncheck the items that
you do not want to update and click ok, or click cancel and you are
finished. You can update the affected manually through Outlook as
desired.
Once the scan has finished, You can click details to review that the
changes all say updated successfully.
Click ok and you are finished.
Congratulations, your calendar items affected by the Daylight
Savings Time changes have been updated! |
