overview & solution: The Starwood HOA's website is a collaborative community-based website that
facilitates communication among homeowners. The website features many interactive elements including secure login, a resident directory, virtual voting, community message boards, and more. The website was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio.NET 2003 and programmed
in ASP.NET and VB.NET. For back-end data storage, the website uses mult-tier VB.NET data access components and Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

from the North Texas Multiple Listing Service (MLS).

SQL Server 2000 database. SQL Server merge replication is also used to replicate data between two remote locations in real-time.

HawkEye

overview & solution: HawkEye is a unique n-tier system that tracks airline flights across the United
States in real-time. The user interface consists of a map of the United States and tracked flights are displayed as icons which move across the map as the flight progresses. The data is obtained from the FAA and is continuously feed to a Microsoft SQL Server 2000
database. The middle tier was developed as DCOM components in Visual Basic 6.0. The user interface is a Visual Basic 6.0 program.
