Enlightened Technology Group uses a five step methodology process in order to facilitate the best communication and understanding possible among ourselves and our clients. Our goal is to make your experience with Enlightened Technology one of the best possible while delivering a quality and effective solution, whether it's online, on the network, in print or multimedia.  We have outlined our five step process for you below.

Step I Pre-Development Planning

1. Determine the goals of your site and your target audience.  Knowing your goals and audience helps our development team build the solution to meet and exceed your needs.
2. Decide on a URL (http://www.yourcompany.com) and Enlightened Technology will register it for you.  We will work with you to finalize and reserve a URL that fits your organization.
3. Our team at Enlightened Technology will work with you to define and layout the right architecture and navigation your web site will need in order to appeal to your target audience while working within your budget.
4. We will provide you with a detailed data flow document and development estimate which will list features of your site and the proposed navigation and architecture of your web site.  Once this document is finalized and signed, the fun begins.
5. Browse the Internet to find examples of sites that you feel are successful in their presentation of design, usability, and content.  These sites do not have to stay within your industry, these sites serve as great references for our team in determining your likes and dislikes.
6. The conceptual design meeting is scheduled between Enlightened Technology's Creative Director and the key parties involved within your organization.  The goal of this meeting is to bring all involved up to speed, finalize data and site structure, talk about the look and feel, and establish a timeline.

Step II Gathering Content

1. Assemble the necessary information for the pages and sections that have been specified for your site (i.e. About, Services, etc.). Often the most difficult portion of building your website comes in this crucial area. Items we need include your logo, all website copy, brochures, photos, slides, spec sheets, databases, or other materials used on your site.
2. Include database, Excel, Lotus, or other files that will make up your online database if you have any database integration or electronic commerce portions of your site.
3. Enlightened Technology offers a wide array of services that can make this part of the process easier for you. These services include:
   1. Consulting - working for you within your company to gather and organize the appropriate content for your site.
   2. Photography - professional photography of products, locations, personnel, etc.
   3. Copywriting - writing and editing based upon the structure of your site and the basics of Internet copy.
4. Send us your content in electronic format. This will keep your development on schedule and produce the highest quality site.  If content is not provided electronically additional development time may be involved which could affect cost.
5. Fill out the search engine keyword form, provided to you, so Enlightened Technology can register your site on the search engines as soon as we complete development. We will provide the initial registration with the top free major search engines. Yahoo and the Looksmart network charge additional fees, which you must pre-approve before Enlightened Technology will register your site with these search engines. Step III Design & Development

1. Expect development of your site to take approximately 45 days from the time we receive full content from you.  If you require a job to be done in a shorter period of time, rush charges of 25% will apply. Projects that involve technical components or customized programming will require technical specifications, and a timeline will be developed on a per-project basis.
2. Review your concepts, choose one or request changes. Our designers will develop three design concepts for your homepage.  Once your homepage design has been finalized, our designers will create an interior page concept to illustrate the flow of your website.  The conceptual design phase can coincide with the gathering of content, logos, etc. The concepts will be displayed on our staging server with a private URL (web address only accessible by you and Enlightened Technology).
3. Review and request changes for the interior as you did with the homepage. After the interior page design has been approved, our designers will begin production on the site -- building all of the internal pages, forms, and other parts of the site.
4. Programming will begin once interior concepts for the technical pages have been approved.
5. Review the entire site and send us a list of all changes when production of the remainder of your site has been completed. Design and layout changes are subject to additional cost.

Step IV Going Live!

1. When you give the final approval for the entire website, Enlightened Technology will move it from the staging server to one of our live servers and test it again.
2. Once the site is live, Enlightened Technology will register your site with the free major search engines (Lycos, Northern Lights, HotBot, AOL, NBCi, go.com) with the keywords that you have given us. Re-registration is your responsibility unless otherwise specified. Enlightened Technology can provide continued registration, or we can contract with a third party that specializes in search engine optimization.
3. For hosting with Enlightened Technology, you will receive a free stats package, accessible through the Internet and set-up, upon request, once your site is deployed on our live servers. Step V Ongoing Service

1. The key to having a successful website is to keep the content fresh and up-to-date. Enlightened Technology offers a variety of services to assist you.
2. After your site has gone live, call or email our office whenever you need updates or changes to your site, we will be happy to help.

Final Step Payment

Enlightened Technology bill on a time and materials basis.  We will invoice you monthly for all development projects payable no later than 30 days from invoice date.  A late fee will apply for invoices paid after 30 days.
